Marketplaces List More Sell More Less Effort

An effect of the pandemic forcing many physical retails stores to close was that many brands and manufactures sold their products direct to customers and one of the vehicles that they used were marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon and Onbuy. The benefits of this to them was that they saw an immediate increase in margin as they removed the middleman. The by- product of this was that they also had more data on the consumer which gave them a better understanding of the consumer and a way of having a relationship with them. This helped the overall sales on Marketplaces increase as coincidentally, the number of Marketplaces is increasing.

So now is the perfect time to sell on marketplaces as there are so many available and increasing both nationally and internationally. As well as having specialised marketplaces such as Wayfair, Etsy etc. You are now able to sell in marketplaces that are niche to your product and internationally. I have put together a select list of Marketplaces that may assist in growing and scaling your business, there many more you can choose from.

The Multi-Channel approach is a great way to get your products exposure globally which will grow your sales. With that will come complex management as well listing which is time consuming and can be fiddley as each marketplace has it’s own template to display to customers most sellers get bogged down and therefore only stick to between 4 or 5 marketplaces. Sellers are also worried if they can manage inventory and the shipping. This is where an order management system comes into it’s own. You can list in as many marketplaces as you want with the comfort of knowing you have control. Allowing you to sell more and market with not much effort.
